In the NOCA Hit Draw Tap (Thunder Bay) competition final event, 3 of our 4 youth curlers placed.

In the 6-8 year old group:

Colin Power placed 2^nd
Carson Goss placed 3^rd

In the 9-11 age group:

Brandon Geno placed 3^rd

January 2017

NOCA held for the first time a Hit Draw Tap competition for youth curlers. The top 5 finalists from each age group across the NOCA area who competed were eligible to advance to a final competition in Thunder Bay at the Men’s Provincial Championship. If unable to attend the youths could have their shots videoed. The top 3 winners would be announced at the Men’s Provincial. The Kapuskasing Little Rockers participated in this competition. Below are the results and congratulations goes out to all the participants. Special congratulations to the 4 little rockers who advanced to the finals.

Advancing to the Thunder Bay Finals were:

Age Group 6-8:
Colin Power: 1^st place in the NOCA region
Jawahir Daulat-Khan: 2^nd place in the NOCA region
Carson Goss: 5^th place in the NOCA region

Age Group: 9-11:
Brandon Geno: 5^th place in the NOCA region

At the club level, receiving a medal for 1^st place and ribbons for 2^nd and 3^rd place were the following top 3 youth curlers in each age group:

Age Group 6-8:

Carson Goss: 3^rd place

Age Group 9-11:
Brandon Geno: 1^st place
Cedrik Cloutier & Andrew McNeil: 2^nd place tie
